Born and raised in the south end of Beaumont, Texas, Thomas’s life has been a blend of adventure, hardship, and personal growth. Now retired, he shares his experiences through the lens of biblical teaching.

Married to Dr. Alicia Sigee and the father of five children, Thomas channels his passion for storytelling into writing short stories that make biblical truths accessible for modern readers. His straightforward, reflective writing style resonates with those seeking spiritual answers in today’s fast-paced world.

Chapter 4:

King David

David was a man who God loved so much that he chose him to be the King of Israel. King David finds his fellowship with the Lord severed due to his uncontrolled desires. David coveted the wife of Uriah, one of his best warriors, and then conspired to have him killed on the battlefield. David’s human flaws led him down a path of regret and consequences, but Davis knew how to pray.

Chapter 5:

Naaman

Naaman, a proud Syrian warrior, almost loses his chance at healing from leprosy due to his ego. The prophet told him to bath in the Jordan river 7 times and he would be healed. He was angry but his soldiers intervened and only after humbling himself does he find the restoration he seeks, reminding us of the power of humility.

Chapter 8:

Haman and Mordecai

In this tale of deception and retribution, Haman was advised to build a gallows to hang a man he despised because he would not bow down to him. Haman’s plot to destroy Mordecai backfires in an ironic twist. The plot that was meant to bring harm ultimately brings justice.

Herod’s Step-daughter

A deadly dance leads to a grave promise, as Herod’s step-daughter manipulates the king into granting her the head of John the Baptist. The king could not deny her request because he told her in front of his guest that she could have anything to include up to half of his kingdom.
